Here we show, analytically and numerically, that in a TiO(2) double-groove grating with two different groove widths per period attached on the SiO(2) substrate, the normally incident light couples to the +1st-order transmission with 96.9% efficiency and with a 50° diffraction angle that is larger than the SiO(2)-air interface critical angle. Modal analysis reveals that three propagating modes for the +1st diffraction order reach the grating back end in phase, while the corresponding propagating modes for the -1st and zeroth orders are added destructively at the grating end. Four optical devices based on this grating characteristic are numerically demonstrated.  相似文献

Recoil effects of photoelectrons excited by high-energy X-rays are studied beyond the simplest approximation where elastic scatterings of photoelectrons are completely neglected (single-site approximation). At first we have shown that the simple free atom energy shift is accurately obtained within the harmonic and the single-site approximations. Beyond the single-site approximation, this simple formula does not work, but still simple classically acceptable formula can be used to explain the recoil energy shift. Illustrative numerical calculations show that the energy shifts caused by the photoelectron diffraction amounts to 5–8 meV for graphite-like carbon and about 100 meV for LiI6LiI6 cluster at ?k=5?k=5–7 keV, and show oscillations as functions of the photoelectron energy. Furthermore we discuss the recoil effects in photoemission from extended levels by use of the tight-binding approach. Our approach naturally provides not only Debye–Waller factors but also the recoil factors. In addition to the phonon excitation, we also study the recoil effects associated with plasmon losses where intrinsic and extrinsic processes can interfere each other. Only the latter can contribute to the recoil energy shift.  相似文献

A comprehensive method for the construction of a high‐mannose‐type glycan library by systematic chemo‐enzymatic trimming of a single Man9‐based precursor was developed. It consists of the chemical synthesis of a non‐natural tridecasaccharide precursor, the orthogonal demasking of the non‐reducing ends, and trimming by glycosidases, which enabled a comprehensive synthesis of high‐mannose‐type glycans in their mono‐ or non‐glucosylated forms. It employed glucose, isopropylidene, and N‐acetylglucosamine groups for blocking the A‐, B‐, and C‐arms, respectively. After systematic trimming of the precursor, thirty‐seven high‐mannose‐type glycans were obtained. The power of the methodology was demonstrated by the enzymatic activity of human recombinant N‐acetylglucosaminyltransferase‐I toward M7–M3 glycans, clarifying the substrate specificity in the context of high‐mannose‐type glycans.  相似文献

We apply multiple-scattering calculations to the analyses of Sn L3-edge X-ray absorption near-edge structure (XANES) spectra for environmental organotin compounds such as SnCl4−nMen, SnCl4−nBtn, and SnCl4−nPhn (n = 0–4) where Me = CH3, Bt = C4H9, and Ph = C6H5. The XANES peak at 3960 eV has rich information on the local structure. Referring to the optimized structures by density functional theory (DFT) calculations, multiple-scattering calculations well explain the observed spectral changes for different “organic extents”. The present study also supports the widely-used semiempirical rule called ‘Natoli’s rule’ for these environmental compounds, which will be useful to use XANES spectra for the practical analytical tools.  相似文献

The synthesis, structure, and dynamic behavior of bistable C- and N-bound isomers of transition-metal cyanocarbanions are described. A series of C-bound cyclopentadienyl (Cp) ruthenium phosphane complexes, [Ru{CH(CN)SO2Ph}(Cp)L1L2] (3), and their N-bound isomers, [Ru+(Cp)(NCCH(-)SO2Ph)L1L2] (4), were prepared by treating [RuCl(Cp)(PR3)2] with the sodium salt of phenylsulfonylacetonitrile and performing ligand-exchange reactions with the resulting compounds. Structural characterization by X-ray diffraction indicates that the cyanocarbanion moiety of 3 has an alpha-metalated structure, whereas that of 4 has a zwitterionic, end-on structure. Heating these complexes in aprotic solvents gives rise to irreversible linkage isomerization between C- and N-bound isomers, in which the relative thermal stabilities vary greatly depending on the steric and electronic nature of the ligands. Mechanistic studies of N-to-C isomerization revealed that the reaction proceeds irreversibly in a unimolecular manner without the formation of coordinatively unsaturated species. A metal-sliding process, which occurs over the -C-C triple chemical bond N pi-conjugated surface of the cyanocarbanion moiety, was suggested by results from kinetic studies and density functional theory (DFT) calculations. C-to-N isomerizations proceed by the above-mentioned intramolecular process, with a temperature-dependent contribution from the formation and cleavage of mu2-C,N coordination dimers [{Ru{CH(CN)SO2Ph}(Cp)(PPh3)}2] (15 and 16).  相似文献

Asparagine‐linked (N‐linked) sugar chains are widely found in the rough endoplasmic reticulum (ER), which has attracted renewed attention because of its participation in the glycoprotein quality control process. In the ER, newly formed glycoproteins are properly folded to higher‐order structures by the action of a variety of lectin chaperones and processing enzymes and are transported into the Golgi, while terminally misfolded glycoproteins are carried into the cytosol for degradation. A group of proteins related to this system are known to recognize subtle differences in the high‐mannose‐type oligosaccharide structures of glycoproteins; however, their molecular foundations are still unclear. In order to gain a more precise understanding, our group has established a strategy for the systematic synthesis of high‐mannose‐type glycans. More recently, we have developed “top‐down” chemoenzymatic approaches that allow expeditious access to theoretically all types of high‐mannose glycans. This strategy comprehensively delivered 37 high‐mannose‐type glycans, including G1M9–M3 glycans, and opened up the possibility of the elucidation of structure–function relationships with a series of high‐mannose‐type glycans.  相似文献

3D-ordered latex films made of fluorescent microspheres were fabricated by sonication-assisted casting. Angle-dependent changes of photoluminescent (PL) emission were observed for the as-prepared fluorescent latex films with diameter of 200 nm. The PL emission at 483 and 512 nm was enhanced when they were near the edge of the stop band, and the suppression of PL emission was observed at 483 and 512 nm when they were located in the stop band. Resonance enhancement of PL emission was observed at 512 nm for the latex film with latex diameter of 1011 nm, in which the fluorescent sphere acted as both active emitting source and resonance microcavity.  相似文献

Total synthesis of cytotoxic marine alkaloids, lamellarins D, L, and N, has been achieved by using Hinsberg-type pyrrole synthesis and palladium-catalyzed Suzuki-Miyaura coupling of the 3,4-dihydroxypyrrole bistriflate 6 as the key reactions. The total yields of lamellarins D, L, and N from the common intermediate 6 are 54, 58, and 50%, respectively.  相似文献
